Summer 2012 at the School of Greensboro Ballet

Spend a day, a week or the whole summer with us at the School of Greensboro Ballet as we are offering a variety of camps, classes and an intensive training session. No matter your age, ability or schedule … we hope you’ll come dance away your summer with us!

Dancers & Dolls Camp

July 23-27 1:00-5:30pm For ages 7-11

Bring your favorite doll with you to this half-day, week-long summer camp full of dance, play, crafts, field trips and so much more! This year’s theme is the Four Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall with the last day a New Year’s celebration. Field trips will include Center City Park, Art Quest and more. We’ll also have a Tea Party, Slumber Party and a special showing for parents on the last day. We are packing so much into this one camp that it’s like getting two camps for one!

BOYS ONLY CAMP

July 16-20 1:00-4:00pm For ages 5-9

Is your little Darth Vader sitting around bored all summer? Is your little Superhero jumping all over your furniture? Then have we have the perfect camp for him(you)!

A fun and high-energy camp where boys will have the freedom to JUMP over tall buildings, RUN faster than a speeding bullet, LEAP into the stratosphere and MORE! We’ll have a different theme for every day (Star Wars, Superheroes, Pirates, etc.) and our campers are encouraged to come in theme t-shirts or costumes each day. Theme related crafts, a snack time and a special showing for parents are included, as well.

Snow White

A Summer Arts Institute Program for Guilford County Schools Students

June 25-30 9:00am-5:00pm
Grades 5th -10th Cost:$100

A one week summer dance intensive for Guilford County School students, grade 5-10 at the Greensboro Ballet studios in the Greensboro Cultural Center. Every day, students will receive classes including ballet, contemporary, character/pantomime, music for dancers, dance production and rehearsals. The final production of “Snow White” will be performed on Saturday, June 30th at the Festival Park Performance Stage. Join us for one very special week of… Once Upon A Time!

3rd Annual Summer Festival

July 30-August 11 For ages 12 & up

Two weeks of intense ballet training and a great performance opportunity for the summer! Faculty will include Greensboro Ballet staff, professional dancers and featuring special guest faculty, Thom Clower and Mel Tomlinson. Students will participate in at least three classes per day/week: ballet, pointe, partnering, variations, men’s class, contemporary, hip hop, African, etc. with a final performance on August 11^th.

Summer 2012 Open Classes

For ages 7 & up
Session 1: June 11-21 12 & up
Session 2: July 16-26
Session 3: August 13-23

Additional weeks just for ages 13 & up: June 4-7 & July 9-12

Various open ballet classes for elementary, intermediate and advanced dancers. Sign up for one class, an entire session or anything in between. Don’t forget dancers . . . it is vital to improve or at least maintain your training during the summer months! This is an easy and flexible way to do just that.

Want to save some $$ when registering?

SAVE $10 when you register by April 30, 2012!
SAVE $5 when you register with a sibling or friend!
(must turn in registration forms at the same time for discount)

Keep in mind you only have to pay for ½ your camp fee when registering.
The rest is due on the first day of camp (Children’s, Dancers & Dolls and BOYS ONLY camps).

Note: There are no refunds. However, you may change to another camp with no penalty fee
or we will give you credit towards tuition for the 2012/13 school year.
