The School of Greensboro Ballet is excited to offer some new Teen/Adult ballet classes!
Teen/Adult Ballet Sessions
Ever wonder why ballet-type exercise is such the trend right now? It's because the rest of the world has just now figured out that ballet training is the best for working and training your muscles for their optimum use. There's a reason dancers tend to be fit and trim! Ballet is also an art form, so it's a creative and fun way to express your artistic side. Come take the REAL thing and join us for Ballet Sessions this Year. We will run each session for 6-weeks and payment must be made in full when registering. There is no additional registration fee for these sessions. Intermediate Teen/Adult Ballet students must have had some classical ballet training in the past.

NEW! Yoga Classes
Yoga is a system of physical postures, breathing techniques, and sometimes meditation derived from Yoga but often practiced independently especially in Western cultures to promote physical and emotional well-being. Come take Yoga Alliance classes by instructor, Robin Bruekmann, on Mondays at 2:30-3:15pm in our GB studios. There is no contract, so feel free just to drop in and pay only $10/class paid directly to the instructor. These classes are small and intimate, which facilitates a relaxing atmosphere. The instructor offers some props, but you may want to eventually get your own. Feel free to contact the instructor directly with any questions you may have at #336-202-8513 or email@example.com.

NEW! At the Barre Classes
We all know that barre classes are very popular these days. Although many think this is a new exercise method, it was actually developed by Lotte Berk, a retired dancer who developed the method in London. An American, Lydia Bach, trained with Lotte and then opened the Lotte Berk Studio in New York City in the 70’s. Guess who was trained and employed at Lotte Berk Studio? Our own Artistic Director, Maryhelen Mayfield! She worked there for nearly two years, which included almost 6 months of training in the method and then teaching this method, which is extremely effective.
Ms. Mayfield is hoping to regain the strength and stamina that she lost last year because of knee replacement surgery. I am hoping others interested in starting classes will join her beginning in late January.
Classes will meet twice a week for an hour each time. Students will start slowly and work their way up level by level. You will be surprised at the results of this method! You will get strong and notice a change in your body after only 10 classes!
There is no contract, so feel free just to drop in and pay only $10/class paid directly to the instructor. These classes are small and intimate, which facilitates a relaxing atmosphere. Questions? Call 336-333-7480 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
At the Barre classes: Thursdays, 6-7pm (starting Jan. 24th) &/or Tuesdays, 7-8pm (starting Jan. 28th) - $10/class

Ballroom dance may refer, at its widest, to almost any type of social dancing as recreation. However, with the emergence of dancesport in modern times, the term has become narrower in scope. It usually refers to the International Standard and International Latin style dances.the n Instructor, Tim Saunders offers lessons in a variety of ballroom dance at the Greensboro Ballet. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished ballroom dancer, Mr. Saunders can offer you an exciting opportunity to gain new skills that will help you shine the next time you go dancing.
