Summer for Intermediate & Advanced Students
Intermediate & Advanced Summer Intensives, Workshops, and Classes
Ages 13+ (Advanced ballet level)
Ages 11+ (Intermediate ballet level)
Greensboro Ballet's Artistic Director, Christine Cervino Grider, and SGB Director, Nina Munda have created a full summer of training opportunities for the serious ballet student.
This schedule of intensives, workshops and classes are designed to offer students either a full Summer training experience or to supplement other intensives they may be attending. Students may also use the workshops and classes in order to prepare themselves for an upcoming Intensive or to prepare themselves for the 2025/2026 season.

June Half-Day Workshops
Week 1: June 16-18 (3-day Workshop)Week 2: June 23-27 9:30am-1:00pm Half-Day Workshops will help students to maintain their strength, technique, and continued growth as a dancer. Each day includes a classical ballet technique class, followed by a pointe (pre-pointe) or variations class. 3 Day Week 1: $160 5 Day Week 2: $260 Both Weeks: $410July Full-Day Intensives
Week 1: July 14-18Week 2: July 21-25 9:30am-4:00pmFull-day Summer Intensives will give students a well-rounded and complete training experience, while challenging them both physically and as ever-evolving artists. Classes will include ballet, pointe (pre-pointe), variations, conditioning, Pilates, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and/or other dance styles.
Cost: 1 Week: $400 2 Weeks: $775August Mini Intensives
Week 1: July 28-August 1Week 2: August 4-8Week 3: August 11-15 9:30am-2:30pmThese Mini Intensives are designed to help students to maintain their strength, technique, and continued growth as a dancer. Each day includes a classical ballet technique class, pointe (pre-pointe), as well as a Pilates (or stretch & strengthening), modern, jazz and/or a variations class.
Cost: 1 Week: $325 2 Weeks: $600 3 Weeks: $825

Early Summer Maintenance Classes
For Intermediate & Advanced level students (Levels 1-5)
Ages 11 & up with at least 3+ years of ballet training
5:30-7:30pm - Ballet & Pointe/Pre-Pointe or other classes
Mondays & Wednesdays unless otherwise noted
Week 1: May 19 & 21 Week 2: May 27 & 29 (Tu/Th)
Week 3: June 2 & 4 Week 4: June 9 & 11
These classes are designed to keep advanced and intermediate students in tip-top shape throughout the year. Some of these classes may be taught by special guest teachers and/or in different types of classes (partnering, pilates, etc.). Alumni, college students returning home to GSO, and/or adults with advanced training are also eligible for these classes.
Cost: 1 Week: $100, 2 Weeks: $190, 3 Weeks: $285
4 Weeks: $375, Single Class only: $55
*You can combine weeks with Nutcracker Prep Week, as well for a total of weeks.
Nutcracker Preparatory Classes
For Intermediate & Advanced level students (Levels 1-5)
Ages 11 & up with at least 3+ years of ballet training
5:30-7:30pm - Ballet & Pointe/Pre-Pointe
August 18 & 20 (Mon. & Wed.)
Intermediate & Advanced Ballet classes will be offered for one week this August to prepare our students for our 2025 production of The Nutcracker. Sign-up for one or both classes.
Cost: 1 Class: $55, 2 Classes: $100

It's Back!
Contemporary & Jazz Workshop
For ages 10-17, Beginning & Intermediate/Advanced levels welcome
July 7-11, 9:30am-1:00pm
This Summer Workshop offers a focus on Contemporary and Jazz dance styles. Students will also have supplemental classes in conditioning, hip-hop and/or musical theatre dance. No ballet experience is needed for this workshop.
