Season of Dreams & Magic
This year, our beloved holiday tradition returns in full grandeur, now featuring a spectacular Land of Snow including a gorgeous set of new snowflake tutus and the return of our Nutcracker Orchestra, performing Tchaikovsky’s timeless score using talented musicians from our community.
This December's performances of The Nutcracker will feature performances by special guest artists:
- Megan LeCrone - Greensboro Ballet alumna and recently retired New York City Ballet soloist.
- Amar Ramasar - Former New York City Ballet principal dancer.
- Jayson Pescasio - Principal dancer with the Carolina Ballet.
and will also include our Nutcracker Orchestra conductors:
- Jungho Kim - UNC-Greensboro's Associate Professor of Conducting and Director of Orchestras
- Ralph G Barrett - Retired NC Central University Chair of the Department of Music & Faculty Assembly and a retired U.S. Navy Musician & Band Officer.
Our Storybook Tales performances in March of 2026 continues its tradition of elegance, awe, and timeless storytelling with a curated selection of ballets - both classical and contemporary including:
- Act II of "Giselle," a hauntingly beautiful jewel of the Romantic ballet era that tells a story of heartbreak and hope - reminding us that the most enduring magic is a love that forgives.
- The classic children's story, "Peter & the Wolf," in which the characters are each represented by a different musical instrument and set to Sergei Prokofiev's famous score.
- A new ballet by guest choreographer, Mary LeGere, former Director of Raleigh School of Ballet and current President of Regional Dance America.
As a nonprofit, Greensboro Ballet thrives on your support to drive our mission. We continue to strive to be fiscally conservative while growing our company, school, and community outreach.
In gratitude for your generosity this season, we will provide exclusive experiences to bring you closer to our art and artists.
