ways to give to greensboro ballet
NEW! Donations by Greensboro Ballet Alumni for the Elissa Minet Fuchs Memorial Fund
Greensboro Ballet is launching a multi-year plan to celebrate 60 years of excellence in the art of dance in 2027. We are bringing together the Triad community (parents, donors, and audiences) and alumni from around the country, over the next three years in preparation for this momentous event.
We are kicking off our three-year campaign with a fundraiser for the Elissa Minet Fuchs Memorial Fund. Our beloved Ballet Mistress, teacher, and choreographer, Mrs. Fuchs, who passed away in February just shy of her 104th birthday, trained generations of young dancers to always be resilient, strong, and graceful.
The Elissa Minet Fuchs Memorial Fund will honor her legacy by providing resources for initiatives that will sustain Greensboro Ballet’s level of artistic excellence for the next 60 years. We remain committed to rigorous ballet training, diversity, representation, and community building. These funds will be used to continue this commitment by supporting scholarships and student professional development at the School of Greensboro Ballet.
We hope to raise $5,000 from alumni in memory of Mrs. Fuchs. If you were ever in the Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, or is you witnessed her unforgettable performance of Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, or were simply inspired by Mrs. Fuchs in any way, please consider a pledge of $104 or more.
Donations by Individuals, Couples, Families or Family Foundations
For every child that walks into the historic Carolina Theatre to see their very first ballet performance at our Nutcracker School Show, there is a donor. There is also a donor for every special needs child in our Dancing Above the Barre program that says, "Mommy, I'm a ballet dancer now!" For the many students who would not be able to afford their ballet training without Scholarship funds available, there are many generous donors.
Greensboro Ballet and the School of Greensboro is thankful for every donor (individual and business) that makes a donation in amounts small and large. For every Corporate Sponsor of our performances and special events. And to every financial gift given through family trusts and foundations. Each and every donation is important, needed, and very much appreciated.

However, we have other ways for you to support the ballet through the following ways:

- Have a Greensboro Ballet Night/Day fundraising event at your location with a percentage of sales going to support the Ballet.
- Participate in the Ballet's Nutcracker Week cross promotional event for one week in December. Includes a small cash or in-kind donation. Or choose to participate in other cross-promotional events.
- Make an in-kind donation of products or services for a Raffle, Silent Auction, or other fundraising event.
