Our Season of Live Music continues as Greensboro Ballet presents

Storybook Tales

featuring "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and other story ballets

March 22 at 2:00pm & 6:30pm

March 23 at 3:00pm

at the Carolina Theatre

 Celebrate this spring by enjoying an afternoon or evening with the Greensboro Ballet as we present Storybook Tales at the historic Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.

This season’s Storybook Tales will be full of powerful, stunning, and charming ballet stories created by our Greensboro Ballet faculty and guest choreographers. More details about this production below!

 

 

Tickets:

Adult Tickets are $40, $30, or $20, depending on location.

Students (18+ with Student ID), seniors (60+), and Military save $5 per ticket.

Children (ages 2-17) get 50% off the full price ticket.

Babes-in-arms (ages 0-23 months that will sit in your lap) are $10.

Groups of 12+ get 50% off the full price ticket.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

The highlight of this production will be a new and unique version of the classic story, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, about a young girl who falls into an adventure beyond any dream. This magical story is filled with strange and fanciful characters including: the White Rabbit, a mischievous Cat, a wise Caterpillar, the evil Queen of Hearts, and of course, the eccentric Mad Hatter.

Jonathon and the Gingery Snare

Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Ward's work, musicians and storytellers will join dancers in a magical way to introduce audience members to the percussion instruments of the orchestra. This story has been turned into a ballet by guest choreographer, Mary LeGere.

The Big Umbrella

We've brought this charming children's story ballet back as we love that it teaches us that everyone has a place under The Big Umbrella. Based on the book written by Amy June Bates with Juniper Bates, this ballet has been choreographed by Artistic Director, Christine Cervino Grider.

Flights of Fancy

Choreographed by Greensboro Ballet faculty member, Liz Stillerman Anderson, this new abstract contemporary piece explores getting lost in thought, going off on tangents, and letting your imagination run wild! Flights of Fancy is set to three different pieces of music and has been created specifically for our Greensboro Ballet dancers.
